Lucy and Rob chose to hold their Peak District at the stunning Lower Damgate Farm. It’s a venue I have visited a few times before and every time I go I just am blown away by it. Not only is it a total bargain, set in outstanding countryside but it also has alpacas, goats, chickens and dogs…..I’m in heaven!
Lucy and Rob are such a lovely couple, perfect for each other, relaxed and fun. What’s more….they absolutely adore their gorgeous dog Chewie….for good reason. He’s a total heart stealer, well he certainly stole mine when we did their couple shoot. As you can imagine I was very excited that little Chewie was going to be part of their day….I even made him some sardine cake!
They had a legal registrar led ceremony which actually included a handfasting….that’s a new one on me!
Another new one on me is the fact that Lucy actually made her own dress! I mean how talented is she….it’s absolutely stunning. She also customised her own shoes to match!! The skills do not end there, they DIY’d the table decorations (I loved the movie theme!) and Lucy’s dad grew all of the beautiful table herbs and flowers which Lucy’s mum arranged….aren’t they gorgeous!
The whole day was about relaxing in the stunning setting, enjoying a delicious Italian grazing feast and outstanding wood fired pizza from the extremely skilled Pizza Al Forno….and yes of course I got one to take away….how could I not!
