Emmi & Rob
Emmi and Rob’s relaxed Staunton Harold Hall wedding was just so beautiful. The setting absolutely blew me away. I have never been to Staunton Harold before and so I didn’t know what to expect from this National Trust estate but wow! That’s all I can say! We were incredibly lucky to have lovely weather on our side but I honestly think even in the pouring rain this place would be breath taking.
Emmi and Rob’s main aim was to have a relaxed vibe to the day which seems contrary to the rather grand venue. These two are just meant to be, they met online and Rob admits that had he realised Emmi did not actually come from Lichfield then they may not have met….phew…thank goodness for that geographical mix up because it would have been unthinkable for these two not to have got together. Emmi has not only taken on big kid Rob (I am sure he won’t mind me saying it….he is after all a massive winde up merchant!) but his two young sons. That is not a low level commitment right there, so after six years these two had no doubts that they wanted to be married.
They had a celebrant led ceremony with tons of personal touches thrown in. I love the fact that Emmi was presented with a Derby County football shirt with her new surname on the back during the ceremony and one very close friend was presented with a jar of pickled eggs, another nod to days out at the footie. The bit that got me was that apparantly Emmi needs to be managed with snacks, a hungry Emmi is not what you want….so during the ceremony Rob handed her a packet of crisps, if a man did that for me I know know he’s a total keeper (Absolute crisp fiend here!!).
Rather than a formal sit down meal and seating plans they opted for a pizza van and an ice cream horse trailer…..awesome! Everybody loved the chilled vibe of it.
It really couldn’t have suited these two more….you definitely need to check out all the pictures of this amazing day!
