Rhian and Owen
Rhian and Owen’s brightly coloured Cefn Tilla Court wedding was everything they hoped it would be. Relaxed, fun and the weather even delivered sunshine, which on a weekend with two named storms, was no mean feat.
Rhian and Owen met at school in 1997, became best friends around the age of 15 when they used to hang out in a group, going to gigs, watching movies and sleeping in Owen’s living room…There were 6 of them. The group drifted after they got their GCSE’s and one friend left with family to live in Canada.

Owen and Rhian stayed friends throughout leaving school, going to college and going to university etc. They did go their own ways for a few years but stayed in touch and met up a few times. They would go months without speaking but it would be like no time had passed when they managed to get together. They supported each other through past relationship breakdowns and life events over the years.

 Then one weekend in 2019 they got drunk on prosecco and rum and their whole relationship changed and they wondered why they hadn’t been together all this time (Sort of like a Monica and Chandler situation)… Lots of friends asked over the years but they always said “Nah, we are just friends”. 7 quick years they survived lockdown, two house moves, one new baby and now a literal wedding.

Rhian said “I know people say it all the time, but we literally married our best friend.”
